SAAS applications are being increasingly integrated into everyday life to solve real-world problems.

Take ZipCar, a SAAS app that is in reality a car club and car sharing service where customers can rent vehicles by the hour or for the day. ZipCar is especially popular in urban areas like the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City, where it serves as a convenient alternative to traditional car rental or even car ownership.

Another interesting SAAS app that solves real world problems: Vivint. Vivint calls itself a home automation company; it offers home security systems and 24/7 live video surveillance, but you can also use the service to remotely control the lights and temperature in your home and more.

One of our customers has launched a similar app: School Safety Response App. The service provides a link between emergency responders and school personnel. In the case of an emergency, all any subscribing member has to do is press a button from the GEOS provided Smart Phone app and first responders are alerted with critical information such as location.
