Your marketing tool box has no greater tool than video content. Just ask Mike Lewis, CEO and Co-Founder of Stimulate Solutions. He wrote this blog post that has some pretty interesting stats in it.

1. Video is exploding on the Internet.
In fact, 71% of adults participate in platforms like YouTube, and video sharing has risen 38% since 2006.

2. Videos sell to the Movers and Shakers.
This fact is supported by a Forbes Insights report that says senior execs watch videos to do research when making purchasing decisions. And according to the article, executives who are under 40 are more likely to make purchases based on information from video alone.

3. You need video for SEO and inbound marketing.
This is a no-brainer, right? Hosting videos on your site is an excellent way to attract and engage leads. But did you know that video also helps to increase your website’s quality score? That makes you more credible in Google’s eyes, and gives you a greater chance at ranking at the top of search engine response pages.

4. Online video is trumping TV.
According to a Bright Roll survey performed early this year, 65% of marketers will be reallocating advertising campaign dollars from TV to online videos. Why? Because online video works — it drives sales. Lewis sites the Old Spice men’s body wash campaign, which generated 5.9 million views on YouTube in the first 24 hours of its launch. The ROI: a 107% sales increase over six months. Pretty impressive.
